Electropolishing
& Surface Finishing

The microscopic perfection behind every IMS component. A multi-step process for a brilliantly polished surface, even inside the holes.

The Finishing Process

A meticulous four-step procedure to guarantee absolute perfection and hygiene.

01

Tumbling

A rigorous mechanical finish that completely removes burrs and renders the steel surface significantly more compact and structurally sound.

02

Pickling

An essential chemical treatment that prepares the metal by aggressively removing manufacturing oil, oxidation, and any other possible contaminants.

03

Electropolishing

The core technological step. It electro-chemically polishes the surface, eliminates micro-burrs, and renders the metal incredibly bright and smooth.

04

Post Treatment

The final washing and neutralization phase that meticulously removes all remaining polishing residue, ensuring the product is food-safe and ready for use.

The Microscopic Difference

Standard filters often retain micro-fissures and sharp edges resulting from mechanical punching.

Our comprehensive finishing process ensures the filter is bright and polished all around, even inside the holes. This brilliantly smooth surface physically prevents dirt and oils from adhering to the metal, drastically facilitating the cleaning process.

Why it matters for your cup: A filter without old coffee residue extracts only freshly ground coffee, rendering this phase of the process faster and safer, and always guaranteeing an optimal sensory result.
