Mavam utilizes standard commercial 58mm group heads. Our 58mm precision filter baskets (such as the B70 series) are perfectly calibrated to drop right into your Mavam portafilters.

Yes. Mavam machines use high-end commercial group configurations. Upgrading to an IMS precision shower screen replaces the standard mesh with a laser-cut membrane, ensuring the water hits the coffee bed like a gentle rain, further enhancing the machine's smooth pre-infusion capabilities.

For commercial environments where consistency is key, you must use a precision tamper sized between 58.4mm and 58.5mm. This guarantees an edge-to-edge seal inside our filters, preventing water from finding the path of least resistance down the sides of the puck.

While Puck Screens (58.5mm) are highly effective at maintaining a spotless group head and softening water impact, their use in a high-volume cafe depends on your workflow. If you have the time to manage them, they are a fantastic addition to the Mavam's low-profile group.
