Upgrading your portafilter with IMS precision baskets and shower screens allows you to unlock the true potential of this setup, maximizing extraction uniformity and producing cafe-quality espresso at home.

Whether you have an Appartamento, Mozzafiato, Giotto, or the R58/Cinquantotto, all Rocket machines use a standard commercial 58mm group head. Our 58mm precision baskets (like the B70 series) are a direct drop-in replacement for your original spouted or bottomless portafilter.

Most Rocket models utilize the E61 group head. For these machines, our standard IMS E61 series shower screens are exactly what you need. They provide an incredibly uniform water dispersion that perfectly complements the E61's built-in mechanical pre-infusion.

To prevent edge channeling and maximize your extraction yield, we strongly recommend pairing our precision baskets with a precision tamper sized between 58.4mm and 58.5mm. This ensures a tight, edge-to-edge seal inside the straight walls of the IMS filter.

Absolutely. Using a 58.5mm IMS Puck Diffuser Screen with your Rocket keeps the beautiful E61 group head spotless, significantly reducing the frequency of backflushing. It also acts as an additional dispersion layer, softening the water impact and keeping the coffee puck perfectly intact.
