Yes. Because Astra uses standard commercial dispersion blocks (often compatible with E61 or classic commercial designs), upgrading to an IMS precision shower screen will significantly improve the uniformity of water distribution over your coffee puck, preventing harsh channeling.

To maximize your extraction and ensure a perfectly level tamp without edge channeling, we highly recommend using a precision tamper sized between 58.4mm and 58.5mm. This creates a perfect seal against the straight vertical walls of our filters.
