Despite their unique traditional architecture, Bosco lever groups are designed around a standard commercial 58mm diameter. Our 58mm precision baskets (such as the B70 and B702 series) are a flawless fit for your portafilter.
In a spring-lever machine, the initial infusion and subsequent pressure drop are entirely physical. Standard baskets with uneven holes can cause the water to channel when the spring releases its peak pressure. IMS laser-cut holes provide a perfectly uniform resistance, allowing the declining pressure to extract every drop of sweetness and body evenly.
To prevent edge channeling during the intense initial phase of a lever shot, you must use a precision tamper sized between 58.4mm and 58.5mm. This guarantees an edge-to-edge seal inside our precision filters.
