IMS precision baskets are "non-pressurized" (single-wall), meaning they rely on your grind size rather than a valve to create pressure. This allows for a much higher quality espresso with genuine crema and clarity. Note: You will need a high-quality espresso grinder to use these filters effectively.
Most De'Longhi home machines, including the Dedica EC680/EC685 and EC885, use a 51mm group head. Our DL series precision filters are specifically engineered for these machines. For these baskets, you should use a 51mm precision tamper to ensure a perfect fit.
Yes, we offer specialized shower screens (DL series) that replace the stock dispersion screen. Upgrading the screen improves water distribution across the puck, reducing channeling and making cleaning easier, as the precision finish prevents coffee oils from sticking to the surface.
For De'Longhi machines using 51mm filters, the correct puck screen is the 51mm model (our DS51). This screen sits on top of your coffee grounds, further improving water dispersion and keeping your machine's group head perfectly clean after each shot.
