Elektra espresso machines are masterpieces of Italian design, ranging from iconic traditional spring-levers to high-performance dual-boiler systems. To ensure the coffee inside the cup matches the beauty of the machine on the outside, a precision filter basket is crucial. IMS laser-cut components eliminate channeling and provide the perfectly uniform resistance needed for both pump-driven and traditional lever extractions.
It depends entirely on your model. Commercial and modern prosumer models (like the Verve, Kup, or Sixties) utilize a standard 58mm group head, compatible with our B70 series. However, the iconic Micro Casa a Leva uses a smaller, specialized 49mm group head. Be sure to select the correct diameter in our configurator based on your machine type.
Yes. Replacing the stock screen with an IMS precision shower screen guarantees a much softer, more uniform, rain-like dispersion of water. This is especially vital for preventing channeling during the aggressive initial pressure ramp of a traditional lever machine, and it greatly benefits pump-driven models as well.
For the 58mm baskets, we recommend a precision tamper sized between 58.4mm and 58.5mm to create a perfect edge-to-edge seal. If you are using the 49mm baskets for the Micro Casa a Leva, you will need a precise tamper sized between 49mm and 49.5mm to ensure a snug fit.
We highly recommend it. An IMS Puck Diffuser Screen keeps your beautiful group head completely clean from coffee grounds (which is particularly helpful for maintaining lever groups) and adds an extra layer of water diffusion, protecting the puck from the initial water impact.
