Absolutely. Replacing the stock wire-mesh shower screen with an IMS precision screen ensures that water hits the coffee puck like a gentle rain rather than pressurized jets. This prevents channeling and leads to a much more uniform and balanced extraction.
To maximize your extraction area and prevent water from escaping down the sides of the basket, we strongly recommend using a precision tamper sized between 58.4mm and 58.5mm. This provides a flawless edge-to-edge seal.
Yes! A 58.5mm IMS Puck Screen is highly recommended. It adds an extra layer of diffusion, but more importantly, it keeps the group head incredibly clean. For mobile setups where deep cleaning can be challenging during a shift, a puck screen saves considerable time and maintenance effort.
