Why upgrade your
Kees van der Westen with IMS?

KvdW machines represent the state of the art in espresso technology. Using IMS precision components ensures that every parameter of your machine's incredible stability is translated into a flawless extraction, preserving the complex aromatic profile of specialty coffees.

Kees van der Westen machines utilize a high-performance 58mm group head. Our MA series shower screens (Integrated Membrane) are perfectly compatible. For the ultimate performance, we recommend the MA200NT with Nanotech coating, which ensures perfect water dispersion and a non-stick surface for effortless cleaning.

Yes. KvdW portafilters are manufactured to standard commercial 58mm specifications. All IMS B70 series precision baskets will fit perfectly. Due to the high-precision nature of these machines, using a 58.4mm precision tamper is highly recommended to ensure a perfect edge-to-edge seal within the IMS basket.

On machines with high-pressure stability like the Spirit, water impacts the puck with significant force. An IMS 58.5mm Puck Screen (DS58.5) acts as an additional distribution layer, softening the impact and ensuring perfectly even saturation. It also keeps the group head immaculate by preventing coffee particles from being drawn back into the system.

Absolutely. If you own a KvdW, you likely value both performance and aesthetics. The Nanotech coating prevents coffee oils from adhering to the screen and basket. This preserves the purity of flavor shot after shot and keeps your precision equipment looking and performing like new with minimal maintenance.
