Why upgrade your
La Marzocco with IMS?

La Marzocco machines are built for stability. Our precision filters ensure that the water distribution is perfectly uniform, matching the machine's thermal consistency to prevent channeling and enhance clarity.

While La Marzocco provides excellent stock baskets, IMS Precision Filters are manufactured using a patented CNC punching process. This guarantees perfectly identical hole sizes and spacing, eliminating micro-roughness. The result is zero channeling, higher extraction yield, and a noticeably cleaner cup profile.

The MA200NT (Nanotech) shower screen is the ultimate upgrade for La Marzocco home and prosumer machines. The quartz nanotechnology creates a hydro-repellent surface: water falls in a perfectly even shower rather than pooling. Additionally, coffee oils won't stick to the screen, keeping your group head immaculate and preventing rancid flavors.

For a standard 18g dose of medium-to-light roast coffee on a La Marzocco, we generally recommend the H24.5 or H26.5 heights. Keep in mind that lighter roasts are denser and take up less space, while dark roasts are fluffier. Always leave enough headspace between the coffee puck and the shower screen for proper expansion.

Yes, perfectly. In fact, using an IMS basket inside a La Marzocco bottomless portafilter is highly recommended. The precision hole geometry forces the espresso to extract evenly across the entire surface, converging beautifully into a single, syrupy stream. The Convex (C) and Flat (F) shapes are specifically designed to optimize this visual and gustatory experience.

For the standard Integrated Membrane (IM), standard backflushing with espresso detergent is sufficient. For Nanotech (NT) models, backflush regularly but avoid using aggressive cafiza/pulycaff powders every single day, as harsh chemicals can eventually wear down the quartz coating. A daily water backflush and a wipe with a microfiber cloth will keep the Nanotech surface performing flawlessly.
