This is the most critical question for La Pavoni owners. Pre-Millennium machines (built before the year 2000) have a smaller group head that requires a 49mm basket and tamper. Post-Millennium machines (built after 2000) have a larger group head and require a 51mm basket and tamper. Please check your machine's manufacturing date or group diameter before selecting your IMS filter.

The stock screen on La Pavoni machines is often a simple mesh that can lead to uneven water distribution and "jetting" during the pre-infusion phase. An IMS precision shower screen (Integrated Membrane) ensures that water saturates the coffee puck perfectly and gently, which is vital for lever machines where you have no pump to compensate for puck prep errors.

Yes! For Pre-Millennium groups, use our DS51 puck screen (which fits the 49mm baskets perfectly). For Post-Millennium, the DS51 is also the correct choice. Using a puck screen on a lever machine is highly effective: it protects the shower screen from being sucked up during the lever lift and ensures a flawless water dispersion.

Absolutely. Because lever machines require a more "hands-on" cleaning approach, the Nanotech non-stick coating makes maintenance much easier.
